GATLINBURG, Tenn.—Beginning Monday, April 28, there will be limited access to the Parkway/McMahan Parking Garage due to a joint repair project. The project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The work will be completed in two phases to minimize inconvenience to the public. During the first phase, the top two levels of the garage will be closed to all traffic. This portion of the project is anticipated to take approximately five to seven working days.
The second phase will focus on the second level of the garage. Efforts will be made to keep access to the upper levels, however, there will be the possibility of a complete closure of the garage for one day while crews seal the ramps. The City will provide advance notice of this closure date, and signage will be posted at all garage entrances to alert users.
To accommodate residents and visitors, the garage will remain open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, throughout the duration of the project.
While the City acknowledges that this project may cause temporary inconvenience, every effort will be made to limit disruptions and keep the public informed.
