GATLINBURG, Tenn.— The Gatlinburg Police Department is proud to introduce a refreshed look for its patrol fleet, which is designed to better reflect the identity and spirit of the community it serves.
The new vehicle graphics, which were designed by Patrol Officer Dylan Bowen, prominently feature the skyline of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a silhouette of the iconic black bear, symbolizing the natural beauty and wildlife that define Gatlinburg. The design integrates modern graphics with bold lettering for “Gatlinburg Police”, ensuring visibility and recognition while also paying tribute to the region’s heritage.
“The new patrol vehicle design highlights the connection between our community and the Great Smoky Mountains while maintaining a professional and visible appearance,” Gatlinburg Police Chief Ronnie Barrett said. “These vehicles not only enhance officer visibility and safety, but also showcase our pride in serving a community rooted in nature, tradition, and hospitality.”
The new design will be phased in across the Department’s fleet as vehicles are replaced and updated. The Gatlinburg Police Department remains committed to providing professional law enforcement services, enhancing public safety, and fostering trust within the community.
