GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Department and Rocky Top Sports World will again partner for the 8th Annual Gatlinburg Halloween Spooktacular on Tuesday, October 26.
The free community event, presented by the Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 6 p.m. and will again be held on the campus of Rocky Top Sports World. In addition to numerous booths from community partners, this year’s Spooktacular will also feature costume contests for children and those distributing candy, a contest for the best booth decoration and a parking lot chalk contest.
Hot dogs will also be provided during the event, which lasts until 8 p.m.
“We are pleased to offer our annual Spooktacular event to the Gatlinburg community to provide a safe, fun, environment for our children,” Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Director Laurence Evans said. “This event is always a big success and without the support of our community partners, it would not be possible.”
This year’s Spooktacular will take place with COVID-19 concerns in mind, as booths will be spaced out throughout the event, hot dogs will be individually wrapped, and a sanitation table will be provided at the entrance to the event where guests can sanititze their hands. It is highly recommended that all guests wear a face covering, however, they are not required.
Gatlinburg’s annual Spooktacular event has been honored in the past as a Four-Star Best Special Award event winner by the Tennessee Parks and Recreation Association.
Vendors must register by October 12, 2021 in order to participate in the event. A copy of the vendor registration form may be downloaded at GatlinburgTN.gov/departments/recreation/spooktacular.php
