The City of Gatlinburg is offering its thoughts and condolences to the victims of the storms and tornadoes which struck the Middle Tennessee area earlier this morning.
“We are certainly aware of the devastation in the Middle Tennessee region earlier this morning,” Gatlinburg Mayor Mike Werner said. “We offer our full assistance if needed, as well as our thoughts and prayers to those affected by these storms.”
City officials have been in touch with state agencies this morning to determine the need for assistance. The City of Gatlinburg is on standby with resources available if needed to respond.
“Our City’s emergency services have been in touch with TEMA this morning to offer our assistance any resources that the City of Gatlinburg has its disposal,” City Manager Cindy Cameron Ogle said. “We are in constant communication with state agencies to determine what the City of Gatlinburg can provide.”
