Gold Star Family Memorial Marker Dedication at Gatlinburg Welcome Center


Local and state officials gathered Tuesday morning for the dedication of a Gold Star Family Memorial Marker at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center.
The Gatlinburg Recreation Department, the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs and the Tuckaleechee Garden Club hosted the event honoring those families who have lost a loved one in service to our country through the U.S. Armed Forces.
Captain William Robinson, retired U.S. Air Force and a prisoner of war from 1965 to 1973, delivered the keynote address for Tuesday's ceremony.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation presented a handmade quilt to Charles Tinnin in appreciation for not only his service to our country, but also for the generosity of he and his wife, Annette, in sponsoring eight Gold Star Markers across Tennessee.
