GATLINBURG, Tenn.—A tree removal project along Dudley Creek Road will occur in March.
The removal, which will be conducted by B & B Tree Management LLC., will occur over the span of two different weeks, March 9-13 and March 23-27. Work will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Motorists should be advised of the possibility of lane closures during certain times of the project, with a traffic control device. Lane closures will only be performed as necessary.
The tree removal project covers trees that follow along the electrical distribution lines along Dudley Creek and Ridge Road, and is the removal of timber left by Sevier County Electric System contractors in an effort to protect their electrical distribution lines.
Recent rain events have caused debris to flow into the creek and clog the creek and disperse the debris over the road and the work is being done to avoid those problems in the future. Tree removal will be done on select areas of Dudley Creek Road.
