GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The City of Gatlinburg, which is home to millions of visitors annually, is continuing work to insure safer pedestrian traffic in downtown along the Parkway.
Insuring safe pedestrian traffic crossing in the downtown area is one of the city’s top priorities.
Work to install a crosswalk at the intersection of Parkway and Airport Road resumed on Monday. The project has an expected completion date of Feb. 28.
After the construction is completed, crosswalk signage and markings on the pavement will be installed, as well as proper pedestrian signals. ADA accessible ramps will also be installed at the intersection.
