COVID-19 Testing continues at Sevier County Health Department

Free testing for COVID-19 continues at the Sevier County Health Department.

Drive through testing is provided at the Health Department, which is located at 719 Middle Creek Road in Sevierville. The Health Department requests anyone arriving for testing to enter at the rear of the facility at the Blanton Drive access point to drive to the testing location. Traffic will exit the property onto Middle Creek Road.

Testing hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Extended hours will be held from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on November 23rd. Beginning December 1, testing will be conducted 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday.

COVID-19 tests are provided free of charge and symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 are not required to receive a test. Results are provided within 24-48 hours via an online portal, which those who are tested receive information regarding how to access.

2The Health Department will not provide testing on November 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving holidays, December 24 and 25 for Christmas holidays and December 31 and January 1 for New Years. On November 25th, testing will be conducted from 8 a.m. until noon.

Additionally, the Sevier County Health Department will adjust its schedule on November 19 to host a Fight the Flu Vaccination Event, which is a national vaccination drive against influenza. On November 19, COVID-19 testing will be held from 8 a.m. until noon at the Health Department before transitioning into a flu vaccination site, which will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The Health Department strongly encourages indivIduals to receive a flu vaccination during the COVID-19 pandemic. The flu vaccine is free of charge to those attending the Fight the Flu Vaccination Event on November 19.
