Free community event to take place under COVID-19 guidelines
GATLINBURG, Tenn.—The Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Department and Rocky Top Sports World will again partner for the 7th Annual Gatlinburg Halloween Spooktacular on Tuesday, October 27.
The free community event, presented by the Gatlinburg Parks and Recreation Department, will begin at 5:30 p.m. and due to COVID-19 restrictions will exlusively be a Trunk-or-Treat event, which will be held in the parking lot of the Rocky Top Sports World complex.
There will also be costume contests for both children and those distributing candy, contests for the best booth decorations, pumpkin painting, and a group parking lot chalk contest. New this year in the spirit of social distancing is a contest for the most creative delivery method to distribute candy.
The event will follow all CDC guidelines and recommendations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All vendors will be socially distanced, the Trunk-or-Treat route will be one way only around the parking lot and masks will be required for all participants and vendors.
Vendors must register by October 20, 2020 in order to participate in the event. A copy of the vendor registration form may be downloaded here.
